Dealing With The Past

The Bite for tonight revolves around the experiences of our past lives and how we relate to them now as well as the affect they have on our future. There can be little doubt that we are all influenced by our past. The trick is to accept the past and learn form it, not wallow around stuck in the proverbial mud of yesterday’s mistakes and failures. Wherever you are in your Personal Development at this point, you can’t get any forward motion while your concentration is focused on days gone by.

There are some people who will swear they have no past failures to worry about; those same people will lie about other things too! The famous Albert Einstein said;”Anyone who has never made any mistakes has never tried anything new” … we all make mistakes that result in failures, it’s just part of being a human and that’s how we learn what NOT to do. Knowing what not to do helps us in the process of trial and error which places us on the track toward what to do that will work.

The focus thought is be aware that living in the past will limit your future. The rest of the equation is it will also likely result in a nasty case of terminal regret and I can’t imagine anything worse than that. The path down the road of regret only worsens the further down the road you go, so let’s don’t even go there. Suffice it to say that no one desires a future of misery and depression which always accompanies those who ignore the future and suffer in the present because of living in the past.

The Bite for tonight is;” Learn from yesterday, live for today and dream for tomorrow.” I suppose that I want most for this post to speak to your inner self and get the point across that we all waste too much time worrying about what we did or didn’t do in the past…forget it, accept it and use what you learned from it to grow into all you can become. The failures of your past should NOT determine the successes of your future and they can’t unless you allow it; in short, how you deal with your past is all up to you.

Learn from yesterday, live for today and dream for tomorrow”, because {it’s all about the U in you}…brought to you courtesy of your friendlyonlineneighborhood ThinkerBites.
